The directors of Llys Maelgwn bring trusted professional backgrounds and complementary skills. Residents may wonder if there are internal tensions within the board. Reassuringly there are none. We approach issues from different perspectives and carefully weigh each other’s insights and expertise as appropriate. This fosters healthy discussion and sound reasoning. It’s this approach that enables us to defend decisions robustly and remain honest about matters on which residents may understandably hold differing views.

Practicing for 25 years in a deprived area of South Manchester. Has been at Llys Maelgwn since 2019 and serves as Treasurer on the committee. His day job requires practical problem-solving, fair decision-making, and an empathetic ear—all of which carry through to his role here. Brings a level-headed and approachable style, with a good sense of humour to balance the serious stuff. |

He went on to manage the airline’s largest operational support department. In retirement, he volunteered at Feltham Young Offenders prison, helping young people prepare for life beyond custody, and later served as a Magistrate for four years. Now registered blind, Russell may not always recognise people, but his professional background gives him a strong understanding of formal process, responsibility, and fair decision-making. |
